Framework & Guides

We are delighted to share our HE Bereavement Framework and free guides for universities to better understand grief and support their students and staff.

The HE Bereavement Framework

Though it is not widely spoken about, hundreds of thousands of HE students and staff deal with grief every year, with profound impacts – from health and wellbeing, to academic performance, employment outcomes, and retention rates.

Based on in-depth research and real lived experiences, the framework lays the foundations for institutions to reflect on their existing approach to bereavement, identify gaps, and take practical steps to improving support. It shares recommendations through five key themes:

  • Policy
  • Training and education
  • Support services
  • Communication
  • Responding to a student or staff death

Join us for one of these free sessions about the framework…
